Worship

We need to learn to worship God in every area of our lives: at home, at work, in our cars... e78 verywhere. Psalm 95 give us some ideas for learning to better worship God at church.

Psalm 95:1-2

"Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD. Let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song."

Believe it or not, worship does not happen automatically the moment you walk through the doors of the church each week! There are some choices that you can make that will bring a real difference to your focus on God during worship. Believing that there is a "God-presence" in, with, and under us that calls us to live in imitation of the Divine life, as lived in Jesus, we gather, primarily on Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. to engage in those acts that create that Presence in us.

80 We do not think in terms of "traditional" or "contemporary," but rather what behavior in the hours between 11:00 and 12:00 is most appropriate to make us "Godlike."  If you wish to put a label on it, it might be called "Classical Intergenerational Worship."

May we say simply, "Come and see."  You will be warmly received.

Jesus says in John 4:24,

"God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth."
