Pastor: Rev. Jonah Smith-Bartlett
Jonah Smith-Bartlett has been the Senior Minister at BPCC since November 2019. He is ordained in the American Baptist Churches USA. Jonah received a Master of Arts and Theological Studies in Theology and Ethics from Union Presbyterian Seminary in 2007. He received his Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School in 2009 where he was the second recipient of the William Sloane Coffin scholarship as well as the 2009 recipient of the YDS Preaching Award. Jonah has been a guest lecturer in preaching at Yale Divinity School as well as a fellow at Andover Newton Seminary. He also contributed articles on Mark and Luke to the Feasting on the Gospels commentary series published by Westminster John Knox Press. Rev. Smith-Bartlett previously served as an Associate Minister at the Reformed Church of Bronxville in New York and the Congregational Church of New Canaan in Connecticut. In his free time he enjoys reading and writing fiction, rooting for Oakland sports, playing in his Irish band, and spending time with his godchildren. He is married to Elizabeth Smith-Bartlett who is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church USA.

Office Manager: Lisa Beckwith
Lisa Beckwith is our BPCC Office Manager. She joined BPCC in February 2020. She joined Bethany in March 2020 and her passion is bringing ministry from the church to the community. Lisa's background includes a decade of youth ministry, Christian education, and Christian camp management. She has served from the local church classroom up to managing state-level youth retreats and facilitating youth leader mentorship programs. Lisa is a passionate volunteer in the Virginia 4-H horse program. She has coached youth in Virginia to many national championships in public speaking and horse judging.
When she is not at BPCC Lisa is the Safe Families for Children Church Engagement Coordinator for Bethany Christian Services. She works with churches across the state to help create networks of support for children and parents in crisis.
